The cape-style puffer gilet with hood, sleeveless and uncompromising
This sleeveless puffer gilet with hood is cut like a cape: very wide, dropped shoulders that form short sleeves, a cocoon body and a slightly asymmetric hem that stops at mid-thigh. The large quilted hood tightens with a drawcord through metal eyelets, the central zip runs in one line under a dark pull, and two diagonal piped pockets fall naturally under the hands. The quilting reads in wide horizontal channels, a long cord runs through the hem and hangs down each side, and a row of poppers closes the bottom of each side seam, leaving two slits. Light, matte technical fabric with wadded fill: a sleeveless gilet designed for layering, from S to XL, in three colours.
How to wear it
Over a fluid ecru shirt and wide chocolate knit trousers, with cognac high boots, it gives an architectural silhouette that stays easy. With the hood up and the hem cord tightened, it blocks the wind on grey days; open over the shirt, it becomes a puffer cape gilet you keep on indoors, with broad shoulders and free arms. The popper side slits undo to let a shoulder bag through.
