A short puffer jacket in lacquered nylon with an oversized collar
Two things set it apart at first glance. The nylon, first: a shiny, lacquered fabric that catches the light like varnish and gives volume to every channel. The collar next: an immense band of tone-on-tone faux fur that edges the hood and falls over the shoulders like a shawl when worn down. Between the two, a frank construction: central zip hidden under a placket with three silver poppers, two flap patch pockets set low on the hips, inner ribbed cuffs that cut the air, a drawcord at the hem whose tips fall at the front. The oversized cut is a true cocoon — dropped shoulders, wide sleeves — and the hem stops at the top of the thighs.
How to wear it
An ivory ribbed top with a high neck, black skinny jeans and white zip ankle boots: the slim line of the bottom balances the volume of the top, and the lacquer stands out against the matte black of the denim. With the hood up, the collar frames the face and the warm puffer jacket becomes a piece for deep cold; with the hood down and the jacket open over a pale knit, it moves into mid-season. Champagne is the most luminous of the three, pearl white leans towards silver, lacquered black remains the most graphic.
