A short puffer jacket that is half nylon, half denim
It is two jackets in one. The body is a short puffer jacket in matte ecru nylon, puffed in wide horizontal channels, deliberately wide boxy cut, gathered hem that stops at the hip. Over it comes a real piece of faded blue denim: the yoke across the chest and over the shoulders, the collar band, the central placket covering the zip and two flap chest pockets each closed with a gold popper, sewn exactly like on a denim jacket. The high padded collar stands up on its own. Two slit pockets at hip level, balloon sleeves, dropped shoulders. The outer fabric is water-repellent.
How to wear it
A fine camel cable-knit jumper, black corduroy straight trousers, lace-up ankle boots: the camel warms the ecru, the black anchors the bottom, and the denim remains the only accent of colour. The short oversized cut needs a clean, straight bottom — straight trousers, raw jeans, a knit midi skirt — so as not to double the volume. Worn open, the denim yoke frames the torso and the knit takes centre stage; zipped to the collar, the piece becomes a graphic jacket, half denim, half puffer.
