The lightweight puffer jacket with knitted trim
It fits in a bag. This is a lightweight puffer jacket, quilted in fine horizontal lines that stay flat, without the volume of winter pieces. What sets it apart is one detail: a scalloped knitted trim, in the opposite colour, that edges the high collar, both front edges, the hem and each cuff — the spirit of a tweed jacket turned into a puffer. Ecru edged with black, black edged with ecru: the two colours answer each other.
How to wear it
It closes with a zip backed by a popper placket, but it looks best open: the trim then draws two contrasting lines on each side. Over a white poplin shirt, grey flannel straight trousers and strappy ballet flats, it replaces the blazer on mid-season days, and slips under a coat when the cold sets in.
