A hooded sleeveless gilet for the days that cannot decide
There are those mornings when the coat is too warm by midday. This gilet settles the question: a short sleeveless gilet that stops at the hips, protects the torso and leaves the arms free. Its wide diamond quilting gives it relief and real hold, its fixed quilted hood goes up when the wind rises and its high collar closes to the chin with a metal popper. Two drawcords slipped into the rounded hem tighten the waist or hang loose, depending on the mood of the day. A hooded sleeveless puffer gilet that bridges September and February.
How to wear this gilet
Over a pine-green ribbed roll neck, straight jeans and brown lace-up ankle boots, it makes up the easiest silhouette of the season to get right. Open, it lets the knit breathe and lengthens the line; closed, with the cords tightened, it marks the waist and rounds the shoulders. The four colours are deliberately neutral: Light Taupe and Off White brighten a dark bottom, Taupe warms denim, Black slips in everywhere. Under an open coat, it adds the layer that was missing without thickening the arms.
