A short padded jacket in smooth faux leather, cut to stop at the waist so it sits over a high waisted jean or a midi skirt without cutting the leg in half. The collar is a proper funnel that stands up on its own and fastens under the chin, and the wadding is thick enough to be a real winter layer rather than a light one. It is the piece that makes a plain outfit look considered, which is most of what a good jacket is for.
- Smooth faux leather shell with a soft sheen, wadded with a polyester cotton filling for real winter warmth rather than autumn weight.
- Tall funnel stand collar that holds its shape upright on its own and closes at the throat, so it works without a scarf.
- Concealed zip behind a press stud placket, which keeps the front line clean instead of running a metal zip down the middle.
- Wide horizontal quilted channels across the body and the sleeves, with dropped shoulders and a soft roomy sleeve that layers over a knit.
- Elasticated cuffs and an elasticated hem that gather the jacket in at the wrist and the waist, so the cropped shape stays neat instead of riding up.
